The Accountant will be responsible for posting and balancing the subsidiary ledger for accounts payable under general direction of an accountant. Additionally, he or she must review, code, and enter invoices or vouchers with proper accounting distribution to be approved by supervisors or department managers. The position must complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and vendor statements. The selected accountant will work from the Northfork Electric Cooperative office in Sayre, OK. The position will observe normal business hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. During emergencies, the position may require extra hours.
Bachelors of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting preferred
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Experience in accounts payable, general accounting, and control procedures is a plus
Excellent organization skills
Great attitude, work ethic, and professionalism
Responsibilities include but are not limited to posting and balancing the subsidiary ledger for accounts payable under general direction of an accountant. Receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices and vendor statements.
