Bandy Silk
DISTRICT 1 TRUSTEE
Bandy Silk joined the Northfork Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees in 2018. Mr. Silk graduated from Sayre High School in the year 2000. He then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and obtained an associate’s degree in business. He continued his education at Oklahoma State University, earning a degree in agriculture with a specialization in leadership and service. After graduating from OSU in 2004, Mr. Silk returned to Beckham County and began farming in the Delhi community, where he grows peanuts, rye and cotton. He is a fourth-generation farmer/rancher in Beckham County and maintains a cow/calf operation with his father on family land that has been in the Silk family for 106 years. In addition to serving the Northfork Board of Trustees, Mr. Silk is an active member of the Delhi Volunteer Fire Department, serving as fire chief. He also serves as president of the Sayre School Board and is a member of the Sayre Education Foundation. Mr. Silk and his wife, Amy, have four daughters: Jodi, Bella, Beth and Bleu. “I believe the most important responsibility as a trustee is to ensure reliable power for the best value to the members. I do that by being fully committed to the position that I hold by being available and transparent to the members,” he said. “I’m blessed to be a part of the co-op and take my role as a trustee very seriously.”
