Chad Smith

DISTRICT 2 TRUSTEE

Chad Smith joined the Northfork Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees in January 2022. Chad graduated from Elk City High School in 1985.  He became a resident of Roger Mills County in 1987 where he continued his career in agriculture. In the fall of 1994, a childhood dream come true, Chad was able to open Smith Ag Center, which his family currently owns and operates.  Chad and his wife, Sherry, have raised four children on their family ranch, 8 miles east of Cheyenne, where they have instilled in them Christian values, strong work ethic and a passion for western Oklahoma agriculture.

When Chad is not operating the business, checking cattle, or in the hay fields on the ranch, he enjoys attending First Baptist Church in Cheyenne, team roping, and spending time with grandchildren.  Chad stated, “I am greatly honored to serve the members of this cooperative that has always furnished our rural areas with efficient and trusted electrical power. I feel my responsibility is to work with the other directors, as we each bring our own knowledge, experience, and ideas to better serve our members and to keep a safe working environment for all our employees.”
