NFEC light vandalized at Berlin Cemetery

The 400 watt light that illuminates the American flag at the Berlin Cemetery has been damaged beyond repair after being shot out recently.

The crime was reported on October 18 by a Berlin cemetery board member who is also on NFEC lines.  Upon closer inspection, NFEC’s District Lineman, TJ Dorrell, determined that the light was irreparable and has since been replaced, at a cost of $1,000 to the coop.

NFEC is looking for your help in identifying the person or persons responsible for the vandalism.  If you see damaged electrical equipment or someone acting suspiciously around electrical equipment, please call the county sheriff’s department or NFEC at 580-928-3366 immediately.  Be safe, and always stay away from the equipment in question.

NFEC will pay up to $5,000 to anyone who shares information leading to an arrest and conviction for the vandalism.
