NFEC's Christmas Card Design Contest underway!
Northfork Electric Cooperative’s annual Christmas Card Design Contest is underway! All children attending school in the NFEC service territory are encouraged to enter the fourth annual Christmas Card Contest. Six winners will emerge from the entries, two from each of the following age categories:
· Ages 8 and under
· Ages 9-13
· Ages 14-18
All entries must be hand-drawn and follow the contest theme of combining electricity or lineworkers with a Christmas or holiday component. All entries must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024.
All submitted works must be an original concept and not a copy of someone else’s copyrighted material. If your image infringes upon another’s copyright, it will be disqualified. Upon submitting your work to NFEC for this contest, you are solely responsible for any infringement on copyrighted materials.
Artwork must be delivered to NFEC headquarters or emailed in a JPG format that does not exceed 1 MB. A one-page entry form (available at NFEC and schools within NFEC’s service territory) must also be completed and returned with the artwork to be considered a complete entry. An entry form can also be emailed upon request. Please use tape to secure the entry form to the back of the drawing. Do not glue or staple entry form to artwork. Please do not fold artwork.
All artists must attend a school in NFEC’s service territory. Children 18 and under are eligible to participate. One grand prize winner and one runner up will be determined in each of the three age categories. Winners will be announced in the April edition of the Sparks and Flashes newsletter. The three grand prize winners will each receive a $100 Visa gift card. The three runner ups will each receive a $50 Visa gift card.
Home schooled students in the NFEC service territory as well as students attending school at Sayre, Elk City, Merritt, Erick, Sweetwater, Canute, Cheyenne, Reydon, Hammon, or Leedey are eligible to participate.
NFEC will determine which of the winners’ artwork will be featured on the 2024 NFEC Christmas cards. For more information call our office at 580-928-3366.
